The Ontario Land Trust Alliance (OLTA) is a registered charity that strengthens land conservation by building and supporting a strong land trust movement. ELB connected with OLTA at an event earlier in the year and they have approached us with an opportunity to assist with their Annual Gathering, October 19 - 21. Volunteers will assist with administrative duties including registration, set up and take down. Volunteers will also be given the opportunity to introduce speakers during sessions throughout the day.
This is an amazing networking opportunity as there will be representatives from land trusts across the province including the Nature Conservancy of Canada, Ontario Nature and Ducks Unlimited.
The gathering is a three day event taking place at the Geneva Park YMCA in Orillia. Volunteers may be able to attend for free if OLTA receives the funding, otherwise there will be a fee to attend. OLTA has requested four volunteers per day, those applying for the opportunity may wish to attend the event for one day or the full three days.
If you are interested, please submit a 300 word statement outlining why we should choose you for this amazing opportunity as well as your availability (one day, two days, whole event). All submissions are to be emailed to Morgan Roblin at firstname.lastname@example.org by September 1st at 11:59 pm.
