LEAF is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the protection and enhancement of the urban forest. Our community-based programs seek to engage residents as active urban forest stewards through accessible, on-the-ground programs. We are currently seeking a Communications and Fundraising Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of how new technologies can increase community engagement and improve program results. They will work with staff to assess current use of technologies (including client communication systems, website and social media platforms, database software, mapping applications and fundraising management software), suggesting improvements and improved integration where feasible.
Full time position (35-40 hrs/week). Compensation commensurate with experience. Reports to the Program Manager.

Opportunity: STAO conference - assistant at BEAN's booth
Location: International Plaza Hotel, Toronto

Time: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
The Biodiversity Education and Awareness Network (BEAN) will be attending the Science Teacher’s Association of Ontario (STAO) conference, and requires a volunteer on Friday, November 11th. Volunteers will assist BEAN's coordinator in the promotion of their programs, including Emerging Leaders for Biodiversity. Volunteers will be trained on-site.
Time commitment is approximately 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. This commitment is flexible, and half-day volunteers will be considered.
Volunteering gains you free entry to the conference for the day, and you may have opportunity to attend sessions.
