The Escarpment Biosphere Conservancy (EBC) is hosting its 6th Annual Monarch Butterfly Festival on August 20 & 21 from 10 am - 4 pm. The festival will take place in Tobermory at the Bruce Peninsula National Park Visitor Centre and some activities will take place on EBC nature reserves near by. On Saturday evening, EBC is hosting a guided bat walk on their Alvar Bay Nature Reserve to educate attendees about the bats of Ontario and the threats they face.
EBC is reaching out to ELB for support at the festival. They are looking for approximately 6 individuals to help catch Monarchs, supervise booths and assist with guided hikes! As volunteers, you will get to camp on EBC's Alvar Bay Nature Reserve for the weekend and you will receive a BBQ dinner on Saturday night. If you are interested in volunteering please see the Registration Form.
